About

Swallow Barn (sleeping up to four) is a beautifully renovated, traditional cob barn with thick walls and lots of beams.

It has had a chequered history in its 300 years, most recently as one of the two village pubs.

Like Nuthatch Cottage which it adjoins, it is an upside-down cottage with its two bedrooms (a double and a twin) downstairs as well as its well-fitted bathroom.

Upstairs is the sitting/dining room which is full of character with many of the original beams exposed. It has lots of comfortable sofas and arm chairs and large windows overlooking the gardens.

The adjoining kitchen is very well fitted and includes a dishwasher.

  • Sleeps up to 4, plus cot
  • Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine
  • Open plan beamed sitting /dining area, with comfy seating, flat screen TV, DVD, CD, plus lots of games and books
  • Two well-furnished, cosy bedrooms, a double and a twin, with locally made country-style furniture
  • Bathroom facilities include both bath and shower plus complimentary toiletries
  • Direct access to the sunny gardens with garden furniture, BBQs, lawns, flower beds and tennis court
  • Central heating in the cooler months, and mostly double glazed for cosy holidays all year.
  • Private parking right outside

What a nice welcome back! We've had almost continuous sunshine since we got here and the peace and tranquility provided the R&R we needed. We thoroughly recommend the Bradworthy Inn Sunday carvery - excellent!

Excellent accommodation and a warm West Country welcome. Plenty of activities for the boys. We probably lost four tennis balls in the garden but Sammy will find them!
