- About
Swallow Barn (sleeping up to four) is a beautifully renovated, traditional cob barn with thick walls and lots of beams.
It has had a chequered history in its 300 years, most recently as one of the two village pubs.
Like Nuthatch Cottage which it adjoins, it is an upside-down cottage with its two bedrooms (a double and a twin) downstairs as well as its well-fitted bathroom.
Upstairs is the sitting/dining room which is full of character with many of the original beams exposed. It has lots of comfortable sofas and arm chairs and large windows overlooking the gardens.
The adjoining kitchen is very well fitted and includes a dishwasher.

Best place we have stayed with the dogs. Loved the barn, brilliant layout. Will come again.
April 2010
What a nice welcome back! We've had almost continuous sunshine since we got here and the peace and tranquility provided the R&R we needed. We thoroughly recommend the Bradworthy Inn Sunday carvery - excellent!

A lovely time once again and what a welcome! Swallow Barn always seems to have everything we need.

We really enjoyed our stay - so did Lulu and Sasha. Found some great walks and cottage home from home.
February 2010
The swallow was crazy to fly away from the Barn for the winter - we found it to be as perfect as ever!
November 2009
Loved it, enjoyed every minute. Two boys very reluctant to leave the tennis court behind! Will be coming back for another lovely warm welcome.
October 2009
A perfect holiday and our sixth in Swallow Barn. Peter and Lesley hve been perfect hosts. We look forward to next year's stay with all our friends.
September 2009
Excellent accommodation and a warm West Country welcome. Plenty of activities for the boys. We probably lost four tennis balls in the garden but Sammy will find them!

One of the best equipped cottages we have stayed at.

We had a great time here in this house. It was nice and cosy in me and my sister’s room. I would love to come back and I also liked playing Hungry Frogs.
