If you wish to walk the glorious stretch of the South West Way from Barnstaple to Tintagel you can do so using us as a base, and only have to carry a day pack! Staying in our B&B or in one of the cottages we can transport up to 4 people (plus dog!) on a daily basis.

We take you out to the coast path each day and bring you back again, or you can take your own car to the end of your day’s walk and we can take you to the beginning.

This section of the South West Coast Path is spectacular with enormous contrasts: high cliffs, long sandy beaches, rocky coves, woods, farm fields and seaside towns.

You may well see peregrines and merlins, dolphins and porpoises and glorious patchworks of flowers along the path.

There is much of historical interest too, such as Clovelly, Hartland Quay, Boscastle and Tintagel.

Knowing this section of the South West Coast Path extremely well, we can advise on all aspects such as the terrain, routes and distances, good picnic spots, where to eat and even where the toilets are located!

We have planned a good 6 day walk between Instow and Tintagel of between 10 and 12 miles a day. Stay 7 nights and walk the whole distance, or just do sections of 30 or 40 miles in 3 days - it's up to you.

Lake Villa Coastpath Walks cost £18 per day for up to 4 people for transport to and from the coastpath, or £10 per day for a trip out to the path in the morning, leaving your car at the end of the walk.

A walking break for two, therefore, staying in our double B&B with full breakfast and a trip to the coast path each morning would cost between £72 and £80 per day for two people.

Please contact us regarding the cost of short breaks in our cottages. Walkers’ breaks of 3 nights or more are available all year in our B&B and cottages, although between the months of June and September (inclusive) a minimum of one week bookings are required in our Cottages.
